Self Isolating? - Our Recommendations

Hello!⁣ ⁣ I think we can all agree that these are super uncertain times, and it can feel like everything’s a bit out of control. Well there are some things you can control & knowing this can really help you cope right now. So, here are the 3 things we recommend you do...⁣ ⁣ 1. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 - this is super important for your physical & mental health. We’ve been signposting some amazing online videos to help you, but definitely go find stuff that you think will suit you. PLEASE look for trainers with a pre & post natal qualification. They will adapt the activity to suit you. If you’re not used to being active start gently & don’t go crazy and take on a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session because you’re going a bit stir crazy! If you have been HIIT-ing it up big style during your pregnancy then yes stick with it. ADAPT, STOP if it hurts, if you can still talk but not sing, you’re probably getting to the right intensity. (Although we do recommend singing Sia’s “Titanium” - it’s a power balled for all women right now! Any other suggestions on that front please let us know!)⁣ ⁣ 2. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗜𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻 - the Government has NOT banned outdoor movement, yet! Hit the streets, parks etc just don’t go rushing up to random strangers & snogging/hugging them (that’s never been appropriate!)⁣ ⁣ 3. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 - now more than ever BREATHE (in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4). Sing, cry to release, talk, seek out support. Do the things you can control. You’ve GOT THIS & it’s ok to be worried & scared right now. BREATHE. We’re here & happy to answer any questions. Also try Pandas UK - they have a helpline if you need to chat.
